Pileated Woodpeckers: Insect-Hunting Birds (Comparing Animal Traits Series) by Rebecca Hirsch -OPTIONAL

Hirsch, Rebecca E. Pileated Woodpeckers: Insect-Hunting Birds (Comparing Animal Traits Series) 32 pgs. Lerner, 2016. $25.00 NON-FICTION
This book provide information about Pileated Woodpeckers buts it real function is to compare a variety of insect hunting birds like Roadrunners, Flamingos, and Wood Thrushes. It features stellar photograph image choices as well as bright and varied font and text boxes.
Again, I think the bottom line is that the title should just be plain Insect Hunting birds and the reader can just learn facts about each. I am not sure why the series chose to have one featured animal to compare the rest to, its honestly too confusing. I wouldn’t buy this series for my library, but the content itself is well written and readers may find it interesting.
