This book is full of fun and interesting facts about music.  It begins with a breakdown of the four different families within the orchestra-highlighting certain instruments and giving interesting tidbits.  Then it moves onto different types of music-including Native American, opera and rock music.  At times it feels like it’s jumping around, but the quirky pictures of animals playing instruments and the fun facts keep it interesting.  The pictures will appeal to younger readers and the overview of music will give them a taste of the topic and might spark their interest to look into more books.
