The Flying Beaver Brothers and the Hot-Air Baboons (Book #5) by Maxwell Eaton –NOT RECOMMENDED

Eaton, Maxwell The Flying Beaver Brothers and the Hot-Air Baboons (Book #5) EARLY READER/GRAPHIC NOVEL Knopf Books for Young Readers, 2014. $6.99 Content: G
Ace and Bub the Flying Beaver Brothers must protect their island home once again. When a day of skiing turns sour, as the water melts, the brothers find out that Baboons have been up to some mischief. All the other Beavers don’t mind the ice melt, since the Baboons promise them swimming pools. However, Ace and Bub find out something more sinister is at work and try to save Beaver Island.
I am always on the lookout for graphic novels for younger readers, but this isn’t a series I would add to my library. Although the art style and wording are simple, its just not quality work. The plot is goofy and all over the place, without being funny or interesting. There are some jokes that students would just not get at all, like a mole who excuses his behavior by saying his blood sugar was low.
