This is a compilation of graphic novel stories from popular authors like the Holm’s, Jarrett Krosoczka and Dav Pilkey. Readers get a short Babymouse story about her continued daydreaming leading to always missing recess. There is a short story about Lunch Lady’s assistant, Betty, who fights the pizza monster. There is a story about a  talking cupcake changing bullies into friends. Ursula Vernon’s fans of Dragonbreath get to read about two squirrels discovering an alien acorn.
I was really looking forward to this book and didn’t enjoy it at all. I expected the stories to be funny and they just didn’t cut it. Unless your students are familiar with the authors and characters featured, I just don’t think this one would be a fun read. My favorite story was the one by Ursula Vernon about the squirrels but I think students would only be disappointed not to read about Danny Dragonbreath.
