Rubin, Adam Secret Pizza Party, illustrated by Daniel Salmieri. PICTURE BOOK. Dial (Penguin), 2013. $17. Raccoon adores pizza, but for some reason people are always causing him away. The narrator suggests that he have a secret pizza party, because everything secret is better.
There weirdest thing about this book is the raccoon dressing in costume and then stealing the pizza. It is definitely a strange non-linear story that i just couldn’t quite connect to. Had Racoon not stolen the pizza, I think I would be more enthusiastic.
