I'd Know You Anywhere, My Love by Nancy Tillman -- PUBLIC

Tillman, Nancy I'd Know You Anywhere, My Love. PICTURE BOOK. Feiwel and Friends, 2013. $17.99. Content: G.

If this sweet little child changed into a rhinoceros, her mother would still know her by her smile. And if she changed into a fox, the gleam in her eyes would give her away. And an owl? Her mother would know her by the flap of her wings. This book is a sweet acknowledgement of the unconditional love between a parent and child, and a parent's appreciation for each child's uniqueness. Although elementary-age children may be comforted by the love theme, the book does seem geared toward younger kids, so it could be a harder sell in a school classroom or library. It would make a wonderful gift, however, and an adorable bedtime story. The presence of the blue-footed booby may cause a few giggles among readers, although the picture is adorable and well worth its inclusion.
