The Santa Fe Jail (Mortensen’s Escapades Book 2) by Lars Jakobsen –OPTIONAL

Jakobsen, Lars The Santa Fe Jail (Mortensen’s Escapades Book 2) 48 pgs. Graphic Universe, 2012. $6.95.  (Rating: PG)
Mortensen, the time traveling special agent, agrees to try to help a kidnapped scientist. He must exchange a map with the kidnappers in order to get the man back. But things go awry and Mortensen ends up in plane crash and has quite a few adventures.
This second book jumped up an age group, both in plot and illustrations; a few too many sexy images and a plot even I had trouble following. It was complex for such a short book, all over the place, and frankly –kind of boring.  I liked the first one, but this one wasn't nearly as fun. I think students would set this aside once they lost track of the plot, like I wanted to.
