Another Uncover
and Discover book which lets the author ask the reader a question and they get
a chance to think about it before peeking under flaps for answers. (See my
review for “What will I be?” by the same duo).
In this book the
reader is show an animal, reptile, fish, or bird –then they are asked “Who’s
like me?”. The reader gets choice from 4
different flaps to lift which picture different skin types. For Example the
reader is shown a fish. The four options are fur, feathers, smooth spotted
skin, and scales. The reader can peek under the tabs to search for the matching
species.
I book will
takes the smarts of 6-7 year old, but younger students will enjoy the bright
and adorable illustrations. It should
hold up pretty good, even for school use.
