Vivaldi’s Four Seasons by Anna Celenza - OPTIONAL

Celenza, Anna Harwell Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, illustrated by JoAnn E. Kitchel.  Charlesbridge, 2012.  $20.  PICTURE BOOK.

Celenza brings us a bit of Vivaldi’s history and imagines the story behind the writing of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons.  Its too bad there is no history available on these pieces, because this is a nice imagining.

As long as the children understand that this story is not true, I think it would be well worth reading to children, if just for the information about the orphans.  It also includes a CD of the pieces.
