Escape From Mercy Hall by Garth Edwards - ADVISABLE

Edwards, Garth Escape From Mercy Hall, 187 pgs. Inside Pocket, 2011. Language - G, Sexual Content - G; Violence - PG;

When Milly, Sam, and George went outside the orphanage after curfew, they didn't expect to go to another world through the hedge in the backyard. As they adapt to their new surroundings full of friends and enemies, they find that there are more problems than how to get back through the hedge to go home.

I found the world through the hedge very intriguing as the children explored. The story is fast-paced and the illustrations are beautiful. As it came closer to the end, some of the problems and solutions became repetitive, but, as a whole, it was a fun read.
