This story is about a bear that wakes up one morning and finds a carrot on a rock.  He eats the carrot and enjoys it.  The next morning, he finds two carrots on the same rock.  The following morning, there are three.  On the fourth morning, there is a huge pile of carrots.  He decides to leave the person a nice gift in return for the carrots.  He gets some honey and leaves it on the same rock.  The next morning he finds return gift.  Who is this person being so kind and exchanging gifts?  I really loved this book.  The illustrations are really good.  The story is sweet and about love and friendship.  Pre-K.  EL (K-3).  ADVISABLE.  Reviewer: JL- age 9.
