Like many children, Luke Pennybaker decides that his life would be so much better if he could just be president.  His running partner was his beloved dog.  After winning the election, Luke paints the White House orange and enjoys making important decisions.  But Luke soon realizes that being president isn’t as easy as he thought it would be. The story has a unique surprise ending that will thrill children of all ages.   Although fiction, this book would be a good edition to any classroom library- especially in this election year.  Pre-k.  El (K-3).  ADVISABLE.  Reviewer: SL.
