Crusade by Nancy Holder and Debbie Viguie

Holder, Nancy and Viguie, Debbie Crusade, 470 pgs. Simon Pluse, 2010. $16.99. Language R (37 swears, 0 "F" 19 G), Sexual Content PG-13; Violence PG-13;

Crusade is all about a group of hunters who have been picked for their skills and ability to hunt as well as kill the Cursed Ones otherwise known as vampires. Eriko the Hunter leads the group who has clashing personalities. The group includes Antonio, Skye, Jenn, Holgar, and Jamie. They all have to learn to cooperate if they are going to save Jenn's sister Heather. I thought this book was very different and interesting because of how different all the characters are. The setting is in Spain and of the six hunters only one is from Spain. Sky is a witch, Antonio is a vampire and speaks Spanish, Holgar is a werewolf that speaks Dutch, Jamie is Irish, Eriko speaks Japanese, and Jenn is from America. It was very interesting how the authors choose to include some different languages in this book. I liked how there were so many different cultures in this book.
