Willems, Mo We Are In a Book!. Hyperion Books for Children, 2010. $8.99.  PICTURE BOOK.  This is one of many “Elephant and Piggie” books written by Mo Willems. In this book, Elephant and Piggie realize that someone is looking at them.  Once they understand that the person looking at them is the reader, they begin to have fun with him/her.  We Are In a Book! is delightful, fun to read, and the illustrations are both simple and interesting to look at.  The words on each page are easy to read, thus allowing an early reader to be successful.  Adults reading the book to nonreaders will also find themselves laughing out loud.  This is a wonderful read.  PreK, EL(K-3), EL, MS – ESSENTIAL.
