Language - R; Sexual Content - PG-13; Violence PG-13

HS - NO

Jon lost his faith in God the day his father, a catholic church leader, left. A charming peer at his school named Jeremiah converts Jon to the Hebetheus religion and Jon is ready to believe in this newfound truth until something happens that will make him question his faith all over again. These sixteen year old boys belonging to this cult are going to kidnap a "terrorist" and ultimately save the world. Throughout the story, Jon questions his faith, his humanity and his possible love for this girl.

For language alone, this book doesn't have the slimmest chance on the shelves of a middle school. It also tackles tough questions of what is good and evil in an entirely new fashion that I don't think a lot of the world is ready for.
